At BCI, community and family are very important. We are proud to help out employees who find themselves struggling to balance work and life’s challenges due to health issues or other situations out of their control. BCI sponsors community fund-raising events, and our employees are dedicated volunteers who make a difference not only in the community, but in the lives of those who benefit from their selfless giving. BCI is strong supporter of the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Council. BCI’s fundraisers to support our employees in their time of trials are some of the craziest and most fun events within our organization. Not only are we able to bring joy to those employees in need, but it’s another reason our employees love coming to work at BCI!
Each year BCI works with Dahlgren-area social services to sponsor local families during the holiday season. Our volunteers shop for and deliver multi-course turkey dinners with all the fixings for Thanksgiving. After receiving Christmas wish lists, we strive to get the essential items (coat, hat/gloves, pajamas, outfits, socks, and shoes) and then 5 or 6 of the wish list items for every child in the sponsored families.
This is a fundraiser that we hold every year to support the veterans at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home (https://charhall.org/). It is our small way of giving back to those who have given so much for or Freedoms. Charlotte Hall Veterans Home has been proudly “Serving Those Who Served” since 1985. Charlotte Hall Veterans Home provides a continuum of care from the 168-bed assisted living program to the 286-bed skilled nursing program.
BCI is a proud sponsor of the Fredericksburg Regional Military Affairs Council (fxbgmac.org). FXBMAC was established as a non-profit 501(c)4 in 2007 to educate government and community leaders on the important role local military installations and commands play in our nation’s defense and regional economy.
FXBG MAC’s mission is to promote the military and national defense bases, commands, and installations in the Fredericksburg region and, in doing so, support the interests of the military, military families, local industry, and the region as a whole. Today, we advocate for more than 25 military commands in the Fredericksburg region.
